Gynaecological conditions can have significant impact on a women’s health and wellbeing. At some point in life every women will need a gynaecologist.

It can be difficult to know when to seek help and it normal to be stressed an anxious when you are experiencing gynaecological issues.

We are motivated to help you understand and manage your symptoms and restore your quality of life and happiness. Where required we offer a referral to an experienced college specialising in your condition.

Regular exams are an essential part of maintaining good reproductive health. We offer routine pelvic exams, cervical and other screening tests to help detect and prevent any potential problems. 

This includes a range of hormone contraceptive pills, injections, implant insertion, intrauterine devices and tubal sterilisation.

Support and management are available for those having an unplanned pregnancy.

Colposcopy is an in-rooms examination of your cervix, vagina and vulva for signs of disease. Where necessary ongoing surveillance and procedural removal of abnormal cells is arranged.

These include conditions such as irregular periods, heavy periods, and absent periods.

These can be caused by a large number of pathogens including chlamydia and gonorrhoea and infect the uterus, fallopian tubes, and ovaries.

The symptoms may include abdominal pain, fever, abnormal dischargee or bleeding.

Several types of diseases and conditions can cause pelvic pain. Chronic pelvic pain can result from more than one condition.

Endometriosis is caused by tissue that normally grows inside the uterus growing outside of it, causing pain and fertility problems.

This is a hormonal disorder that can cause irregular periods, acne, and excess hair growth.
In girls, when they have not started to develop breasts by age 13, or they have developed breasts but their periods have not started by age 15. In boys, when they have no signs of testicular development by 14 years of age.

Menopause as well as post-menopausal bleeding.

This includes bacterial vaginosis, recurrent vaginitis, vulval itch, clitoral pain, painful sex, genital warts, lumps, vulval skin conditions and vaginal atrophy.

These are non-cancerous tumours that grow in the uterus and can cause heavy periods, abdominal pain, and pressure on the bladder.
These are fluid-filled sacs that can form on the ovaries and may cause pain or irregular periods.

This is a condition in which one or more of the pelvic organs, such as the uterus or bladder, bulges into the vagina, due to weakening of the supporting tissue.

This includes a wide range of hysteroscopic and laparoscopic procedures.

Dr Victoria Nisenblat is an experienced Gynaecologist with 20+ years of experience managing gynaecological conditions medically and surgically where indicated. She is also a certified Fertility Sub-Specialist, having completed the Certificate of Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility (CREI).
